Maryam has a gift.

Soon, the ancient Witch starts to haunt her waking and sleeping moments. She puts a curse on all of Hindustan, condemning them to die the same slow death she suffered.

Maryam must find a way to save herself and her home. But is her home even worth saving?

Set in Mughal India in the seventeenth century, Suffocate is a historical fantasy about the pain and fear inside us and the difficulty of letting go.
